My Cherokee is getting older, what a sad thing it is to watch a beautiful thing age. I was hoping to start a discussion on the types of maintenance and replacements that should be done on a cherokee to keep em running long. what do you guys think?

 

The main thing is to prevent any rust, so a very thorough inspection all over

I generally only replace parts when they are showing signs of needing it

Presumably you are adhering to the maintenance schedule in the FSM

original front suspension parts are getting pretty worn at 200k miles

 

Mines got i think 249 on the odometer.
I've changed almost everything.
Everything on front axle I mean everything. Rear axle transmission transfercase clutch steering column radiator

I'd change oil and filters every 5k or so even auto tranny. Tcase and axles ounce a year.
I can plug a air filter in a day I have a few to swap out as needed
I run chevron 15/40 everything thing else as needed.
