Muffler / Cat Connection Fail
It looks like the clamp is good, but the part of the pipe going into the muffler from the catalytic converter, is loose. I can slide the muffler/tailpipe right off.
I'm a novice, so I'm wondering if it is possible to repair this w/o getting a new muffler (lots of special tape to make it snug again)? I'd like to keep this under $50.
Thanks in advance.

I apologize if that came off a little rude. But those "special exhaust sealing tapes" will be junk after a month of use. Its really not worth buying them.

thanks for the additional info. that was really what i was curious about - if the tape was even worth bothering with.
i'll probably bring it to a shop to replace the muffler altogether for $125
