I recently blew my 4.0 in my 92 sport,and have a 94 grand with a good 4.0.I think it should be fairly straight forward swap,but did notice the computer's look different and a few other thing's under the hood But all and all the same.
I just wanted any info that could be helpful in the swap,so it is
My 92 cherokee sport is a 4.0 ax-15,np231

The part's jeep is a 94 grand cherokee with a 4.0,AW4,NP231 WHAT DO i NEED TO KNOW???

 

I am pretty sure they all interchange from 91-95 at least.

 

I put a '95 ZJ engine in My '92 and it runs like scolded dog. Went in easy but I di use the ignition from a '92 so I do not know if that makes a difference or not. Did it on accident and did not realize till it was done.

 

So I should be able to use my 92's computer and all of the ignition part's and what not on the 94 motor???
