Default motor mounts??

Getting a weird clunk when I come to a complete stop. It feels like its coming from the rear end, but sounds like its just in front of the shifter. then when I take of even moderately on the throttle it would clunk again from the front, that clunk has turned into a groaning, almost like bolt threads being dragged through a bracket. Any thoughts?

Mine was doing that and it turned out to be the front sway bar was loose.

if you think its the motor mounts, start it up, open the hood, and with your foot on the break and in gear, give it some gas. have a buddy look to see if the motor rises up and falls back down when you let off the gas. right there will tell you if the mounts are shot.

is the clunking only come when your coming to a stop? does it do it when you first start the jeep or shut it off? only do this while in gear and moving?

Had my buddy help me out, had him put tension on the drive line. At the same time while he was alternating pressure I walked around to watch the suspension. also watched the motor. Its not the motor mounts. I am running no sway-bars. Turns out it is my drivers side coil. It's coming in contact with the trackbar bracket. It also seems out of shape, as in while sitting on flat ground, it looks the way a coil does when its at full stuff. Idk whats causing this mis-alignment of the front axle. Its all stock control arms and trackbar. Other than 3 inch springs the truck is stock.

Its the stock trac bar.

Did you redrill a new hole in the axle side mount?

It could be that your stock trac bar isn't centering your axle.
