Seems to be a very common problem. I don't have any recommendations, but I can point you in the right direction. Here are a couple of search links to possible solutions to this problem:

search: cherokeeforum.com
search: jeepforum.com

You'll find several different approaches to removing the bolts.

Good luck!

That sucks. It happened to my old 96. I called up the dealer figuring since it was common they would could give me some advice. They told $150 to drill out the old bolts, install the new and give me a new engine mount. I couldn't pass up that deal, so I let them do it. I guess they have the repair down pretty well.

Anyway, I'm almost positive they used a right angle drill and a reverse drill bit to get them out. Another way I've read about people doing is welding a nut on the end of the broken bolts and wrenching it out.

You can buy an attachment to turn your drill into a right angle drill.

note to self: check RH motor mounts
