Default Molded Carpet Kit with Mass Backing

Those of you who have replaced your carpets with molded kits, did you order it with mass backing, or not? And, what is your opinion on the brand and/or vendor you purchased from?

I used one of the main stream interior providers. Did not get the mass backing. The felt backing they provide is about half of what was stock. I ended up getting some stick on heat shield and coated the tunnel with it. That part all worked out fine. I am not certain about the mass backing and here is why. The carpet fit just OK. The molding is not what I would call exact, although, by the time all the trim and seats are back in, it looks just fine. I am not sure if the mass backing would affect the fit in a positive way or not. Biggest issue for me is that none of the holes for the shifter, etc. are present. My jeep came without carpet so I had nothing to use as a template. I tried to guess where the shifter would come through, but by the time I kept moving the hole, my starting point was in a place that showed. Kind of bummed about that, but things are way better than what I started with.
