I have a 97 with a 4.0 220xxx
when starting down the road it seems to be stumble and looses power at 2k rpm’s but will shoot up to 3k if given a considerable amount of gas. It doesn’t happen at lower or higher rpm’s. It started happening a weeks or two ago and has gradually gotten much worse. Still sometimes it doesn’t happen for a little while.
I have replaced the fuel pump, ignition coil, fuel pressure regulator, tps, distributor, wires and plugs. It has good fuel pressure and compression. Battery is at 13v with clean and tight connections.
I’ve noticed a few people having the same problem but haven’t seen any real answers. Thanks for any help.
