My jeep has gotten to where it only runs when it wants to. It dies on the road and will not start at times. I have replaced the CPS, ECM, fuel pump relay and fuses. The fuel pump and fuel line appears to be fairly new because of the clean wiring harness going to the pump and shiny fuel line. When it won't start I do not get any power on pins 1 & 6 ( ground and output from puel pump relay ) at the fuel pump wire harness plug. If I don't find a solution I will have to take it to the Jeep dealer soon. I belive it dies due to fuel pump being shut down.

 

look for worn wires in the harness

 

yup, sounds like you are having a bad wire connection somewhere. try cleaning up all of your connectors and see if that does the trick.

 

I started pulling and pushing connectors around with the Jeep running, the plug on the ecm, the grey one, when I pushed it the Jeep started to die. I don't have a jix yet but I know were to look.

 

Also check your IAC.
