MIL code P1694 after installing extended idle switch, no symptoms
Hello everyone,
I recently installed a extended idle switch using the instructions here: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/ho...switch-204925/ The switch works as intended, I can flip it and it brings the rpms to 1,025 and holds them there. Shortly after installing the switch got a check engine light for a code P1694, I use torque for my scan tool and the closest thing it tells me is "Tach circuit high voltage". This makes no sense being that I get the cel whether or not I use the switch. I am thinking that I nicked a wire while intalling the extended idle switch, what wire would trigger that code without any symptoms. Also I already took all the grounds apart and thoroughly cleaned the grounds and cleaned the connections to the computer.
Ignore the o2 sensor code. The wire got ate up by the drive shaft and I haven't had the time to replace the connected and replace the o2 sensor.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I don't know how to resize the images sorry lol
