i am trying to make a bumper what is a good size tube and metal guage to use and does eneyone have blueprints or pictures od some i could look at

Depends you want a winch mount on it or just somthing that's tuff for recovery? Basic idea is to have frame rail mounts that tie into the bumper. I build mine out of 3/16 so it has a little give in it. Another option is 1/4 but its heaver. I don't recomend using over that. You want your bumper to be weaker than your uni body, otherwise if you hit somthing all the force your bumper would take goes to the unibody and can damage it. Any damage to to the unibody cuase the jeep to be totaled.
