Default Messy Project....Need Input

I just got all my gaskets together to replace the valve cover, rear main, oil pan, transmission pan, and oil filter adapter. I'm going to be busy this weekend

I also got a couple of tubes of RTV Blue.

1)Do I need to put a sealant on the rear main seal? Reason I ask is because I got the 2-piece, but I remember reading somewhere on this board not to use any on the RMS. I couldn't find the original post so I wanted to double check.

2)Where can I find out how much torque to apply to the gaskets? (Fel-Pro Rubber Gasket All Around) I don't wan't to over apply pressure and have cracks.

3)What Chemicals and Tools do I need to remove the Old Gasket Sealers?

Any tips or suggestions that I might have missed?

1.) i haven't.
2.) buy a repair manual that'll have torque specs. or all data if you have access.
3.)gasket scraper
