A 96, is that OBD-I or II? I think it's II. I love my OBDI 91. On-off-on-off on...........read the codes.

And I applozie for giving you a hard time...
OK lets break it down..
Did you have this problem before you put your bass in?
Did you have this problem before you put the remote start in? What brand remote start do you have? So we can see what they tapped into ...
I will assume you did not put them in at the same time...
When they wired the remote start in do they have to tap into that circut... check your after market fuses....? check your wires to make sure they are already grounded... if you did not do that already...

So, for the CEL (Check Engine Light), try this:
Key in ignition.
Cycle the key to ON then OFF then ON then OFF Then ON (do not turn to start and turn the engine over during this process)
See if your "check engine light" starts flashing. If it does, write down the number of flashes. 3 flashes pause 2 flashes is a code 3-2
But I digress. Yeah, I smell an issue with that remote start. Do you blow a fuse when you use that? Rather than a manual key start?
I elect rooster. LOL

No, the remote starter works fine every time. I will try the on off on off thing.
Right now the remote starter is unplugged, the 02 sensor is unplugged, the alternator is unplugged, still blows the fuse.
