Manual shift auto

I have a 89 cherokee that i did a motor,tranny,trans swap out of a 95. ever scince the trans wont shift on its own i have to manualy shift myself.
Anybody help

A friend of mine had the same problem,ended up being a electrical connection that did not get plugged in.Hopefully it is as simple as that for you.

those years may not be compatible

you would need to wire in a tcm from the 95.

there should be 2 wiring connectors for that tranny. one for the nss and the other for the shiftin and fun stuff

Dont know about that problem, but I can reassure you that it wont hurt the transmission to manually shift it at all. In fact its actually better for it from what I am told.
