Last night (first cold night with the Cherokee) the heat was Luke warm at best. So I flushed the core today and was rewarded with hotter heat .

Gotta take it for a drive but its not too cold out right now. Name: 47F834B2-7A4C-45FB-9868-1168BFAAA061-273-0000000F84B3A7C1.jpg

When is the electric cooling fan supposed to come on? I dont have any overheating issues, but I have not heard the electric fan come on ever. My AC is inop. I have tried turning it on to see if that would call upon the electric fan but still nothing.

Do I see another missing fan shroud? Might be posting a overheating thread next summer.

Yeah. The previous owner changed the rad and broke the shroud. So far the temp has stayed in the proper range without running hot at all.

I am keeping my eyes open for a good one at the wreckers. So far I haven't seen a single 97-01 xj in the yard yet.

......and it probably will stay in the proper range with cool/cold ambient temps and using the heater. Keep looking for the shroud, next summer will be here before u know it.

Still have the whole winter to hit up the junk yard Though I doubt this winter will be as mild as the last one. We were spoiled last winter. I don't think I shoveled even once last year.

I got my shroud off I believe parksgeek. Fit fine, and cost about 15$, not back for a new part that you know won't weaken and crack during installation. The only thing i hated about it is, i was charged for 3lbs of shipping. That thing barely weighs a pound.
