Before I embarrass myself at the auto parts store, I figure I could get help amongst friends.

I just switched from the stock steelies to some jeep five star aluminums from a grand cherokee. When tightening the wheels up with the stock lug nuts, there didn't seem to be the same amount of threads available to tighten down on. Also the steel rim holes were not as deep as the aluminum.

Question: Do I need different lug nuts?

that rim prolly just sits off the lugs more, i dont see why you would need new lug nuts.

 

I guess you must be correct and I appreciate your help. The stock lug nuts are keepers!
