Hey guys my friend has an old Dakota with the 8.25 axle in it. same axle as my jeep..how hard would it be to take the lsd out of that axle and put it into mine? I dont want the whole axle as its fairly old and I dont want to rebuild the whole thing

 

It would require setting up the gears again. To me it wouldnt be worth it, unless you were regearing anyways.

 

hmm yea the gear ratio probally isnt the same in the two...
