Found one thread on the subject, that involves cutting the brackets, but I'm curious if anyone has found different seats that sit "lower"??
I'm 6-1 and some change, but I'm cocking my head to get in and can feel my hair on the headliner. lol
Any input would be appreciated.

I'm 6' 3", welcome to my life haha.

I also feel my hair touching the headliner most times. I haven't really looked closely at the seat brackets, but you probably would have to cut/weld it. I've read that you can use Grand Cherokee seats in an XJ, but you have to use your seat brackets so that wouldn't really help.

 

I'm also 6' 3" and tilt the angle of my seat back some to not rub my head on the headliner, I also have a electric height adjustable seat and keep it on the lowest position.

I still have a problem when I am the first car at a red light and have to be a contortionist to watch for the light to change.

 

I've seem some stuff where people take out the rails and make it a fixed seat. It's not Ideal but it works.
