Lowering my lift?
I have a 1989 XJ with a 4.5" Lift. The lift is just to high for me. Should I buy a new shorter lift? Or can I modify this one?

Ya why is it to talk? As for modifying it, not a good idea, your not dealing with a mini-truck. If it's to tall either buy a lower lift or find someone that has a lower lift to trade with you.

It also depends on the lift that is installed..Example if you have 3" leafs and coils with shackles and spacers added you could remove the spacers and get stock shackles. So we basically need more details of the lift as to what kind and what components. So if you know the details let us know and we can help out a bit more.

Wojoe, your XJ looks pretty sweet the way it is. I would just put the word out that you're looking to trade for a lower lift. I'm sure you'll have no problem finding somebody to trade lifts with you.
