so i put on my lift today but have yet to mount my new sway bars. this is because i can get the lower factory torx bolts out. i lubed them, torched them, sawed them, and grinded at them. Which leads me to believe they are seated..can anybody help?

 

Yes the torx bolts are splined/pressed into the bracket.

 

They are pressed in. I broke 2 torx bits before i realized they where. I took a big hammer and beat them out.

 

how should get them out?

Rent a pitman arm puller from your local part store. Mine came out nice and easy with the puller.

Haha. This will work but you can bend the bracket if you dont support it with something.

a socket and a c clamp with a bit of heat if needed works too. Just remember you don't want to bend or break the mounts.

 

C-Clamp and a big socket

 

Go with a pitman arm puller, it'll come right out and you wont tear up the bracket.

 

Are these same bolts on the rear sway bar cause I'm planning on removing mine this week?
