Default Lower rear left shock mounting position ( pic included )

I was wondering if someone could give me their opinion on whether this will work okay. When doing my lift this past weekend, I broke both rear lower shock mounts taking the old shocks off. my solution was to drill out the old mount and run grade 8 bolts through the other side. My buddy drilled the new hole for me. As you can see, the hole he drilled is a little off center from the old stud that came out from the mount. The hole he drilled for the other shock is perfect though, dead center. Will this be okay in this position? Would I be better off boring out the hole a little more to get it centered? Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I plan on finishing this up later today. Thanks again

Since you had the mount off I would have relocated them (higher) anyway. If you plan on wheeling any rocks stock position mounts do sometimes take a beating. The experts will confirm this, but I think your positioning is okay.

Should be fine. I would spot weld the new grade 8 from the back when its in to keep it from wearing a bigger hole in your mount over time.

Thanks for all the info. I thought it would be okay. I was planning on having buddy who welds put a spot weld on the other side. I figured that would be a good idea. Thanks again!
