Default Lower Bolt on Thermostat housing

Does anyone else have an issue with the lower bolt on the thermostat housing rubbing against the serpentine belt? Guess I could grind the head of the bolt down some to give some clearance.

It shouldn't
Original bolt? Did you do something with the housing?
I can have a look at mine when daylight comes here but it's def not rubbing because it would have chewed the belt pretty quick

Mine is close but doesn't touch. The torque is only 13 Lb/ft so you can shave the head off a bit if you need to.

I bought a new after market thermostat housing for mine and it mounting bosses where a bit taller than my original one so my bolts were too short. I manage to scrounge proper size ones from my spare hardware bin. The heads are slightly thinner than the originals. If the heads were the same thickness, tit would definitely rub.

Not sure if it’s the original bolt but the thermostat housing was just replaced while upgrading to open cooling. Here’s a few pics kinds hard to see but I’m gonna try and find a torx that will fit if not gonna have to grind the head a bit

If I push my belt towards the bolt, I do have a bit of space. Not much. I just replaced the belt (and rad, water pump, fan clutch, hoses) so it has only about an hour of run time (idling and local driving) and there's no sign of any rubbing.

Is yours making contact?

I believe it is making contact, the belt is showing some wear, has like a line where I believe the head is rubbing.
