low pinion D30 exhaust fit in high pinion D30
I got a exhaust system out of a 2001 cherokee and I'm putting it in my 1998. I know the high pinion jeeps have a dent in the exhaust to clear the driveshaft so will this low pinion exhaust work with my high pinion 30 or will I have clearance issues?

freegdr, the 6.5 lift is listed on his '99, his '98 says stock, valid question. My '98 had the dent, my '00 does not. I'd measure the 2 but my '98 is no longer with me.

Exhaust system for the >2000 Low Pinion-equipped XJs will definitely contact the front drive shaft on a <1999 High Pinion XJ at stock height.
May I ask why you're putting the ridiculous late model super emissions manifold on a vehicle that doesn't require it? I'm guessing it must have been free and your manifold cracked?

Manifold is still there. I bought the jeep with the exhaust cut about 8 inches before the cat

So I assume I'm better off just cutting the non dented part off the new exhaust and welding it to the remaining portion of my old exhaust?

Doesn't rub or contact anything. It's been in there for 20k miles.
Only time it'll contact the driveshaft is if I have to really slam on the brakes. The front drops down from the hard braking and the driveshaft hits. Under normal confirms its fine.

Not true. I put a HP D30 in my stock 01 XJ.
