Default Loud clunk why turning

So I have a loud clunk why turning. I can be stopped or driving. Also happens when I hit rapid bumps (some backroads around here feel like waves). I got under it today had my wife turn the wheels It's only about the first half inch turn in either direction and I could see nothing popping when the sound happens. From under it seems like its in the fender from above it sounds like its under. I traced every mount only one I can't see is the steering rod. I checked for play and couldn't find any in the track bar, ball joints, wheel bearings, or anything else. It's in the driver front. Any ideas?

And the last question. Rear suspension. Are both shocks mounts suppose to be mounted the same direction. I have pictures to explain why I ask

That's what mine was too. To check have someone in the driver seat semi violently rock the steering wheel back and forth, while you stare at the track bar bracket (it is visible on the side of the wheel well of your drivers side tire.)
