ok so i got this 95 cherokee 4x4 sport 4.0 inline 6 and the over drive is not engaging when im at a full stop but i can take off using 1st-2nd then shift to 3rd and when im on the freeway the overdrive does engage but thats when going over 35 40 mph strange problemi have no check engine light on i just bought this from my boss he said he changed the transmission fluid but before the change it wasnt doin this. any help is good thanks for looking

 

Check the fluid level... sounds like your boss owes you a raise for selling u his problem.

 

I was reading and it maybe the tcm or a solenoid... then i used the "key trick" to see what code it gave me which is funny bc its not on well it still gave code 355 i have no idea what that means tho

 

My OD on mine kicks in about 38, depending how much gas I give it. Torque converter lockup happens about 45 unless I am accelerating.
