Losing power around 45 mph?

Losing power around 45 mph?
My 90 xj automatic tranny seems to have trouble around 40-45 mph it feels like its loosing power and struggling. It also seemed to be having trouble knowing when to shift gears too but I replaced the IACV and that seemed to helps o. It seems to have this problem particularly on hills. Is this normal or possibly a problems with the transmission control unit or throttle control valve?
