Default Looks Like A New Radiator Before Summer

I think I'm gonna replace my radiator before Summer, I did a pressure test and I'm fairly sure its leaking from the seam. Not a lot, but when it warms up I don't think its going to be able to handle it very well. So which make and model should I look at, as well as where to get it? Anything you guys have is helpful!

Unless you are on a very tight budget, I go new, Open system (radiator cap)
look at www.radiatorbarn.com , or www.rockauto.com

I'm sorry, I guess I forgot to mention I have an 88 which I don't think has an open system.

Covert it while you're replacing things, other than a new rad, you will need to score a overflow bottle, easy enough. Also whats the age/condition of the other cooling system components (water pump,Tstat, Fan Clutch)? Might look at those to replace if the answer is I dont Know.

Not sure about the water pump, t stat and t stat housing are new, and I put in an auxillary fan off another XJ if that's what you mean. What exactly do you need to convert it? I have thought of that but not too sure.

To convert it to an open system you need

1. 92+ radiator and a radiator cap

2. A overflow bottle

Really that's it? The hoses connect to the same place and everything?

Oh yeah! It looks exactly the same besides the filler neck! Can I use my bottle or should I get one from the same year?

I forgot to mention the heater control valve hoses but you can do away with the heater control valve completely. You say you're not sure about the water pump, I say replace it while everything is apart. Again www.rockauto.com is your friend here. Go new not reman ( just my opinion). But yes hoses will work, probably good idea to replace em too.

Same year, if you search there are a couple of options on the bottle.
