Default Looks like i have to replace the neutral switch on the XJ...

Problem is I dont know which one is the right part when i look online, and where is it located??

Any help is great.

2 wheel drive XJ and from what i understand its a different part completely than the 4wd one

Why replace it? They are easy to pull, clean, lube, and reinstall.

well im confused

Im told its the circular one for the 2wd XJs and the normal looking white one for the 4x4s. On my tranny there is no normal looking one like in that link. but i dont know where the other style would be. Id rather just replace it but i could clean it temporarily but I would lke to know exactly what im looking at you know? anyone have a pic of theres?

Here are three links I used to rebuild my 92 XJ Sport's NSS. I spent maybe $11 on parts and it works beautifully. Not hard to do and you don't have to remove any major components or have any special tools. Didn't take that long either. You can do it!

Mine needs to be change to.Which is better take it off fix it or just buy a new one? There are times when we( I) just dont have the extra time.Does that make me lazy?

No it doesn't mean you're lazy, it means you're busy. If you can afford to buy a new one then that is the easiest and fastest solution for you. JMO

Yeah but think how you'd feel if you didn't have a job and had to piddle around all day like me. Of course I'm retired, but it also has it's disadvantages.
