Well, the guy selling the XJ called me today. He said he was driving it this weekend and the seat felt extra bouncy. He checked underneath and said there is a 4" by 12" rust hole where the seat bolts to the body.

Think I'm going to pass. If it's that rusty there, it has to be just as rusty in other places. Kind of worried about that.

 

Since it's 200 something miles away, have you tried looking on craigslist to find something closer? I see XJ's on CL all the time

 

There's about 2 dozen xjs within a 150 mile radius of me. All rust free from az. I'm sure there's plenty more near you.

 

Been checking Craigslist at least once a day. I'm in Montana. There's none closer than 200 miles for less than 5k.

Thought they would be easier to find...
