Default Looking to swap a 00 engine into my 99, quick question

So I have a 99 XJ that's got an engine noise. I've found an engine from a 00 XJ. Now if I remember right I can swap the 00 engine into my 99, I just have to swap the cam sensor for my distributor correct?? I've read through a few posts and I'm pretty sure this is correct just looking for some reassurance lol. Don't really wanna spend the money on this engine and then find out it won't work.

does the 00 have its original defective 0331 head? Also the 00-01 have different exhaust porting in the head.

It's a Jasper Engine so idk, I'm assuming it has the updated 0331 head, If not I can always use my head correct?

Yes, pretty sure you can use your 99 head. Going the "other" way, putting the 2000 head and it's manifolds in your 99 is where I'm not so sure. IIRC issues with the exhaust and sensors are solvable, just don't remember. It's out there! You might check on the torque plate also. No harm in using yours just to be sure I'd guess.
