I've got a '94 xj 4.0 H.O., and I was flipping through an old JP mag I had laying around and they mentioned something about swapping in a fan from a '96+ xj gives way better cooling, are all the elect. fans interchangable? or would I need to do some modifications? Thanks for any info.

Before you consider swaping the E Fan, Is you mechanical fan working properly? E Fan swaps are usually done to replace the Mech fan. Due to the microsopic hp gains that are possible. The E fan on an XJ is only for high demand situations, the mech fan does 90% of the cooling and will out perform most E fans.
You can also go to www.quadratic.com to find the duel electric fans to replace your existing fans. I suggest going to ebay or looking on the web to find a better deal if you don't want to pay their prices. I have used quadratic several times and rate them very highly.

the newer ones have like 300-500 more cfm. Dont think the plug right in but wouldnt be to hard to take the old clip off and soldier it onto new fan. i like the dual electrics myself
