Looking for a cost effective remanufactured 4.0
I'm looking for a source for a cost effective remanufactured 4.0 for my Cherokee. I'm sure some of you guys on this forum have gone this route, and I would prefer to find a company that can get me a good reman 4.0 cost effectively. It seems like a reman renix 4.0 goes for at least ~$1300 and I was hoping to find one around $1000 or less.

If cash is tight, find a good junk yard. One with good references and customer satisfaction. Pull a 4.0 from there. I think you can use a HO 4.0 with minor mods. Check out the how-to section on that. But anyways, the 4.0 is pretty indestructible, and if you can find a low miles used one, you're good to go!

Can I ask where did you see they're located in Shelton, WA? I can't find it anywhere on the site and I called them and they said they are located in Spokane, WA.
That makes a difference of about 4 more hours driving time one way!, haha.
