I ran that locker last year from June 09 to December 09 with 33s, only attended 3 major trail rides. In December I put on 35s and ran about an hour in the snow before the locker was junk. Maybe they would last longer with smaller tires or on moderate trails. Good Luck with your decision.

i love my lockrites, it's good to hear the click around corners, it lets you know it's working.
i've heard of others mentioning the audible clunks, but mines been quiet and works exactly as it should. i believe it's all how it's installed.

i have them front and rear with 36's and the rear has been in for 4 years now with not one single problem or complaint.
the front has been in for 2, but due to it causing me to snap u-joints and shafts (weak d30 disco), i've disconnected the passenger side axle and still have power to the front. works as it should, no complaints.

lock rite or aussie, they're pretty much the exact same thing. only lock rite is made by the familiar, richmond gear.
best locker for the money.
