Default Longarms are popping...

The front right long arm is popping whenever I hit a bump. What should I do? Any way to fix that? It's sounds freaking ugly.

I have an Extreme Duty 5.5" Long Arm Kit. It was put on 9/12/2007.

That's about all I know. I can post more pictures of it if needed.

check the bolt that conects the controle arm to the cross member. found the factory bolts to be slightly undersized, so the arm will move and make some noise.

Old RC set? Maybe the Jonny Joint is shot. Probably due for another spherical race.

How did this get on your truck in 07 and you don't know what a cross member is? Bought it recently like this?

BTW, this is advanced/non-OEM discussion.

Yes, I bought it about a month ago.

I didn't grow up around vehicles and my dad never taught me to work on them so I'm learning all the terms and everything for the first time. It's frustrating, but I want to learn.

well this is a good place for it. No worries. Kneel down by the front tire and try to rotate the tire front and back with the ebrake on. If the joint is bad, you should (not always) be able to replicate the sound. Try that.

Sounds like it might be time for new races in your Flex-Joints.

Explain if you would? That's way over my head.

Your joints are rebuildable.
Basically they are probably worn out.

The easy way to tell is to have someone rock the jeep back and forth while you watch for play in the joints. It will be pretty obvious.

Alright, I put the parking brake on and rocked it forward and sure enough it squeaked/popped.

What's the next step?
