Hey guys,
I was wondering what that best way to determine a long arm length?
I'm going to be putting in the rustys 4.5 inch kit, and would like to do a custom long arm 4-link set-up.
I'm thinking if I look at one of those charts with the lift size and lower control arm lengths, find how long they should be for a 4.5 lift. Then measure from the frame mount to the axle, then back to the brakets on the x-member, that should give me the right length, right?
Thanks,
J

its a little more tech than that.
google 4-link calulator, or jump on pirate forums and take a look see at what it entails. true four link fronts under xj are a hard fab. Think hard on a 3 link with track bar. Or if you want easier go radius arm style

there is no magical longarm length that is better than the other
put the lower links where they fit/how high clearance you want them. then play with the upper control arm location until you get some good numbers
