long arm build questions...

the strength doesnt really rely in the arm setup, build it right and you wont have issues.

i think my arms are around 32" long. 4 foot arms would have to be mounted behind the crossmember.

i built mine using my eye, lol

its not an exact science

make some mounts on the jeep (where it fits), build lower arms the length you need. get some tabs on the lowers for the uppers (where it fits) build a couple uppers making sure you can dial in your caster correctly.

yeah you might be right but on the rustys site they gave a 37 inch measurement end to end when i called them about there kit. 4 foot might be to long sorry maybe shoot for 3 feet or just go for the tranny mount this is where most company's mount there kits to

my lowers are 36 inches not including the johnny joints and they go right to the custom cross member.

I am running the RK 3 link setup, and it works great.

As for what you are trying to do... doing it cheap is not the way to pull this off. Spend the time to research your design. You are not only risking your own life, but everyone around you when you drive this thing.
