The collar always popped out of 4 wheel drive. So i put a blt in the hole on ht eshifter fork housing and locked it in to 4 high so the shifter fork cant move. Am i gonna mess it up doing this?

Where did ya learn to type! LOL
Are ya always driving on loose slippery surfaces.
If you are gonna be driving it like that I personally would remove the front driveshaft till ya can get it fixed properly. Unless I am not understanding your post due to poor typing and or grammar.

i put a bolt in the shifter fork housing. So that the shifter fork will keep the collar from shifting back into 2 wheel drive. When im in 4 wheel drive it works for a while then in pops out of 4 wheel drive. so i put a bolt in it so it wouldnt pop out...........The roads here are completely covered in snow except for the highway! so i figured when everythign melts and its not below zero i wil pull the bolt out. Are bad roads bad when wheny ou are in 4 high part time?

don't worry about it. you'll be fine.
2wd is still 2wd.
now you won't have to rely on the vacuum when you shift into 4wd.
you're golden. don't worry. basically did the same thing for years.
just don't drive for long on dry roads in 4wd.
