Location of CTS?
I know there are two different Coolant tempature sensors in my 94 Jeep Cherokee Country. I know the one for the fan is in the thermostat housing, but where is the one that sends to my gauge and my computer?
Back of the cylinder head on the drivers side, right next to the edge of the valve cover. It is tough to get at because the valve cover gets in the way of your tools griping the nut/body of the sensor. Be prepared to stuff the new sensor in the hole immediately after removing the old one, as coolant will start to pour out fast. I got the new part from the dealer for only $22 after the one from Autozone made the gauge read 1/4 of the full range higher than actual temp. (operating temp was right at the start of the red zone)
It helped to get more room to work by unplugging the #6 injector and lifting the injector harness rail off the bolts to slide it toward the front of the engine.
Good luck.
