on my 88 i had a gray box fall out under the dash on the drivers side in the center it says dana corp precision controls division it has adjustments for sensitivity, low speed, centering and a cut for manual trans

does anyone know what it is for

 

Sounds like a cruise control module, thats where mine was. Is your cruise working?

One thing I've done to ID mystery boxes is google search the part number. You'd be surprised what you can find out that way.

 

no my cruise never worked the cable is broke i have looked up the part # but didnt find anything on this one

Anything like this? This is the AMC Cruise module. Its right under the steering column. You can see the adjustments on the right side.

ya mine looks the same as yours i just wanted to make sure some people tolled me it was for my trans cruise isnt no big thing to me
