the little gray box

on my 88 i had a gray box fall out under the dash on the drivers side in the center it says dana corp precision controls division it has adjustments for sensitivity, low speed, centering and a cut for manual trans
does anyone know what it is for

Sounds like a cruise control module, thats where mine was. Is your cruise working?
One thing I've done to ID mystery boxes is google search the part number. You'd be surprised what you can find out that way.

Anything like this? This is the AMC Cruise module. Its right under the steering column. You can see the adjustments on the right side.
