i know that this would sound like a dumb question but im looking into buying a 96 cherokee limited edition to replace the 96 cherokee country. i just want to be sure that there are no differences beyond the clear interior differences and color painted exterior trim.
so i guess my question is is there any mechanical differences or is it all cosmetics and comfort?

The differences are pretty much trim levels and options. There were 2 different transfer cases. The select-Trac and the Command-Trac. These were available on all models though.

seemed this was the most sure way to check. most right ups i found described the trim but had no mention of the mechanical so i wanted to be sure.
