Hi all
New to cherokee forum so hi from the U.K. !!
I own a jeep Cherokee 2.8 crd limited auto 2004
Bought it on 7th nov 2014 and shortly after starting to feel a knocking coming from underneath
It usually happened when pulling off at junctions etc not whilst driving
Took it back to garage they found no fault
I have had 2 further garages check it and have found nothing
This problem is intermittent?!
Yesterday as I pulled off from a roundabout the car seemed to slightly jolt to the left on the back end.
Then as I joined a motorway we heard a loud noise, lost power steering but engine didn't cut out.
Managed to get car off motorway and then as I drove up a hill the car lost all power and cut out. This time it wouldn't start for about 10 mins.
Today I have drove car it has not broken down at all??!!! (But still has knocking noises)
No engine warning come on

Welcome to the Forum.


You've got some very odd issues with your Jeep and I do hope you get them sorted out, unfortunately you are not likely to find an answer here.


Here in the States your model is called the Liberty not Cherokee and there are other forums online that specialize in the Jeep Liberty. Hopefully you can find some assistance on one of those forums.
