To start it off - welcome to CF - welcome to the jeep world and welcome to the money pit. Wit that said... there are many different forms of lifts and they are all suited to make the cherokee look tough. First thing is you need to define what you want to do with your rig.. trail riding, mild off roading, rock crawling, etc... Then you need to do a search in the forums on that particular style of jeep. Once you get that figured out then you start asking yourself more specific questions like what size and type of tire, skocks, aftermarket skids and armor, is the engine realy worthy and what do I need to do to fix any problems now before they start later. Map out your goal and go from there. A loaded question like "what kind of Lift should I get" without doing your research kinda offends people who has done many hours of trial and error research to figure it out. And to be honest when it is all said and done your cherokee will be some sort of Frankinstein with mixed and matched parts because one brand doesn't suit your needs. So just sit down - take your time - and be prepared to change your mind 1000 times before you make a final decision because this project will become your hoby.
