Default Liftgate strut bracket snapped off...

So I shut my trunk today and heard something pop off, lifted it open again and found out the left lower strut bracket screw snapped in HALF...half of which is still screwed in... (please see pics below)

I use my trunkspace a lot in this seems like a major pain in the ***. I DO have a mini soldering kit I use for electronics and stuff, do you think I could solder the screw back into the slot or should I try something else...thanks

Sorry can't see your picks, it's me, not you, actually it's google not cooperating with my old windows xp.
Other than that, solder will NOT work. You can't solder a screw back together.
If you own an XJ, mandatory section of your tool kit is every extraction tool and device know to modern mankind, sorry, I'm Canadian, as dictated by our left wing fascist leader that should be "Personkind".
You need to extract that screw is the bottom line.
My apology for being a rant, I too have a sick jeep in the family and I'm upset.

You could probably weld it back on, but like Peep said - extract it properly and replace it.

I know Napa sells them but not sure which one would fit. Thinking taking out the good one and bringing it there would be best. Part # for my '00 is 55075205AB.

I would find a reverse drill bit and carefully try that. Looks like yellow locktite so it may be harder than usual to remove..

No. Soldering wont work there. Could be brazed but why burn the Jeep to the ground. Just try to get the old one out.

Or IN. There should be plenty of space if you wanted to drill it INwards. Just turn it till it falls in. Replace with a new one. Or replace BOTH since one failed.

So I picked up a ball nut at NAPA that looked pretty damn close so I gave it a shot...turns out I was wrong. Does anyone know the part number for the one on the right? I just need one of em. Can't seem to find one.

This one looks really close but it doesn't list my vehicle as a fit:
