i ordered it thru top gun custumz and it was only 6 bucks a shock to upgrade to the nitro's. my buddy told me it would be money well spent since the 8000 series it comes with isn't a gas shock, at least i couldn't find anything saying it was. the 9000 nitro series shocks are.

That's funny cuz i was looking at their deals one bay a few days ago. I got VERY lucky cuz i was able to control my clicky finger and NOT order. I desperately need new brakes/rotors first so it took some self-convincing to go with brakes first. Eventually i will order the same kit from them. Let me know if there are any issues or anything.
Good luck!

so the lift kit is in and gives the jeep a real nice little stance. next is going to be tires. I'm gonna start with 31's i wanna get some 32's when i have the cash to do that. this was a fairly simple kit to install, the hardest part of it was the lca's they were a pain to line up. the coils were a tight fit but was able to squeeze them in once i got the axle fully dropped. i didn't disconnect the steering which might have made it a little easier. the rear add a leaf went extremely easy which was to my surprise. i had to use some thought process as i didn't have any c clamps available at the time. i found that leaving the spring clamps on and the axle up to keep pressure was enough for me to cut the centering pin, then carefully the clamps (there were 3 clamps on my packs i cut 1 at a time while the axle was still compressing the pack itself) then slowly let the axle down. it worked like a charm. the only things that are left to deal with is a stripped hole on my passenger coil spring clamp and a broken rear shock bolt (due to the fact my buddy forgot righty tighty lefty loosey). once i get the bolt holes fixed i will be taking pics and posting them up for everyone to see. I didn't think to take pics during the install of the various steps, it was a crazy day due to Halloween and water heater replacement and lift kit install all at the same time, but if someone needs i can do a detailed write up as to how to do the lift. To reinerate I installed the rough country3 inch kit with lower control arms, upgrade to the nitro shocks with shock boots. The kit with the shock upgrade and the shock boots ran me a total of 390.00 with shipping. I also ordered a track bar relocation bracket from someone else and am still waiting for it to come in, but when it does I'll be installing that to. i got the kit from top gun customz, a great company. ordered the kit on a Thursday night it was at my door Wednesday.

So there are all the pics i took, the improved handling and ride quality were well worth the cost of the lift. sorry my pics are in no particular order i just figured out how to post them up. if there are any questions just ask. there is approximately 5.5 - 6 inches of space between the front wheel and flare and about 4 in the rear. i estimate i got around 2 full inches in the back and 3 - 3.5 in the front.
