missed that last reply, good thing i didnt order yet, did you see the rough country one i was looking at insted of the ebay one? also i looked at the two links you sent me, which one would you recremend over the other and why are they better than the rough country kit? thanks so much for your help......oh and ps. how do i know which axle type i have? thanks again
I installed that lift for a friend. Rode good but you need to redrill your track arm to center front end. Steering stabilizer is a must. Overall id say pretty good for the money. For $100 more you get lca's and sway bar drop bracket for the front.

I personally like Rough Country cause they have a lifetime warranty. And in my opinion a upgraded steering stabilizer is not a must. As long as all your steering components are in good shape, you will be fine with a stock stabilizer. I have 6.5" of lift on 33's with a stock stabilizer and have NO death wobble or bump steer.

Recommend??? You have to sit down and look at what is going to meet your needs the best. I'm not going to give you a recommendation. I personally wouldn't use either the E-bay or the RC Kit. But that is because of inferior, incomplete parts on the E-bay kit. And I personally had a very negative experience with RC, and I don't appreciate their business practice of not including all the parts to correctly do the project.
With the E-bay kit or the RC one, you are going to need to get new U-bolts. I know RC sells them.. I don't know whether the E-Bay seller does. For me, U-bolts are about $7 a piece at Napa. So that $28 needs to be added to the costs involved on the E-Bay or RC kit. You would need to contact them to find out the costs of including the U-bolts.
A correctly torqued U-bolt stretches when you tighten it down. Once they are stretched, they will never again be able to achieve their initial strength again. Reusing a stretched bolt creates a weaker than intended point. They should NEVER be reused, except in an emergency get you home type of situation. Remember these four bolts are all that keep your rear axle from coming out from under your Jeep.

Seriously guys. Everyone thinks a good lift is more expensive. Granted I got my 4.5 for 180 Including everything but a trackbar. It rides great, good performance on and off road. I did bastard packs and Cougar coil springs on mine. If you want writeups they are in my blog below.

Hey all, so i went ahead and ordered the Rough Country kit. I picked this one because of a few reasons, adding the price of Ubolts to this kit was still a whole lot cheaper than some of the other kits that included them, I have my own brake line tools and supplies if necessary, RC seems to have done well with quite alot of people and the lifetime warranty is a plus. So now while I wait upon its arrival any tips from people out there to prepare myself..work tip?..tools I should get?... materials I should get.. ect
Thanks again to all for the help!! great forum!!!!!!

Use the search for rear diff and there are pictures on one of the post, look at the pictures and then look at your rear diff. It's easy after you see the pictures.
