im already going to get the cragar $50 steel rims are those any good? they arew 15's and ive been looking for some nice tires about 34's for 115 big knobby's but il prob have to get a pair of used tires for that. what do u think?

Good luck, a lot of Craigslist searching for cheap used parts. Lift and tire prices are a bit crazy. It seems the worse the economy gets the higher prices get. 34's will cost you at least 200 a piece unless you find good used ones. If you search for long enough you might find some good deals.

im not sure.. I bought that jeep from a friend with the lift already on it. If your wanting to go 6 inches on a budget you could go the 4.5 and then get some 2 inch spacers .. that would boost you up while being cheaper...
Im not sure about the rims.. I have never owned a pair.
you could go with 34s on a 4.5inch lift with some fender trimming. Remember bigger is not always better.. think about your center of gravity..

i like the 4.5" for $450 but i would really like to find a 6.5" like the one on there for cheaper than $900. its just 2" higher would it really make that cost difference?? there has to be one for cheaper do you agree?

well another aspect you need to consider is an sye or t case drop to fix your drive line.. and as far as cost goes RC is about as cheap as they get.. there are a few threads on here where guys made there own lifts using f150 coils and bastard packs. maybe that's more down your ally..

im going to go with the 4.5" if i get that, will i still need a t case or sye? whats a sye lol newbie to jeeps i would do the f150 coils but its too much hassle. should i get some of the extras that they suggest on there like steering stablizer, etc or are they just trying to sell me more stuff? thanks 92jeepy

you will either need a sye(slip yoke eliminator, google it) or a t case drop. some people say that at that height a t case drop will not work, but in my experiences it will be fine. As for the extras.. steering stabilizer is best and you will eventually need to upgrade due to the fact that your old one is not able to handle that stress.. but its not something you need right of the bat... it can wait a few weeks..
what type of rig are you after.. daily driver/weekend toy or strictly trail? if your trying to navigate large obstacles and think you are going to do some extreme flexing then the sye is the way to go.. then you might also want to look into a cv drive shaft(Google that too)..

in your case I would get the 4.5 inch RC lift.. trim your fenders and put the 34's and rims on.. the kit comes with a t case drop so you will be good there.. they are simple..
if you dont want to trim your fenders 32's are about as big as you can go..

34" would hit them? i want enough clearance so even when they are under stress they wont hit so 32" would give me about how many inches of free space.
are you talking about the skirts that come off the jeep or the actual body fenders themselves?
thanks92jeepy
