First you can't do a body lift on an XJ, they have unibody frames so there is no realy frame. So a body lift is a moot point around here. So your only option is a suspension lift.

Now on a wrangler or any rig sitting on a real frame you can do a body lift but IMHO anything over 1" is dangerous and personally I wouldn't do one. Suspension lifts IMHO is much better.

You can not do a body lift on a XJ. It is a unibody structure, the body and frame rails are made together as one unit ans can not be seperated.

there is little difference between 33 and 34" and you would actually only lose .5" of overall height.

Shoulda let me answer you PM before these guys have a hay day with this now.

Like I said in one of your other threads look around at pictures and other peoples set-ups and find what you want it to look like then research how much each lift will cost and what size tires you wanna run.

You coulda saved us all the typing and looked around just a bit first and summed it up into one thread instead of 3...

34's are a wierd size and will be hard to find if you need to when out 33's are a good size and can be found almost anywhere

The difference deals with vehicles with "normal" frames. We dont have them so we cant do body lifts. Heres how it works.

Imaging just a frame. Underneath it is the suspension, when you ad longer coil springs,(yes and other stuff) it lifts the frame higher from the ground.

OK Same frame. Body lift is when you put spacers between the frame and the body. The frame stays the same hight from the ground, but now the body is higher. You do this to fit larger tires.

XJs run a unibody construction. Which means that we have a front sub frame and a rear section as well, but the body of the truck IS the frame, so thats why we cant do body lifts.

6+ inches of lift, and 33" tires, and IMHO, it looks great!! I'm a little biased though, since it's my rig!! LOL!!
