Default Lift installed and front tire rubs???

Hey all...
I just installed a RC 3" lift on one of my 2000 XJs.
And I have installed a set of 31 x 10.5 tires on it. Now the driver's side tire rubs the front wheel trim (plastic) when I turn the tire left or right. It doesn't occur on the passenger's side... just the driver's side.
With the wheels pointed forward you can see that the wheel sits more forward in the driver side wheel well. The passenger's side it is nice and centered. on the driver's side it sits about 1/2 to 1" forward of center causing the wheel to rub the front wheel well trim as the wheel is turned to the right or left.
My RC 3" lift came with new lower control arms which I installed.

Has anyone seen this before. It looks like the driver's side control arm needs to be shorter to pull the axle back some?

I'd appreciate any and all insight. It still needs to be aligned.
Thanks,
Brian

sounds like your front axle is not centered. do you have adjustable trackbar?

No the wheel is definitely not centered (it's pushed forward in the wheel well).
I still have the stock track bar. Will the adjustable push the wheel back some if made longer / shorter?
Thanks...

He means centered side to side. If you lift it, and leave the track bar the same length, it will pull the axle to the driver side. Get an adjustable track bar.

I had thought about that or even just drilling a new hole in the mounting bracket (as a temp measure) just to see the affect but it doesn't seem like that would push the wheel back so it doesn't hit the front corner of the wheel well trim?
And actually the side to side shift is not even noticeable - the tire looks like it sticks out about the same amount on each side (no or little side to side axle shift).

You can also pick up a track bar drop bracket if you are on a budget

Thanks for the info....
I'll probably just buy the adjustable rack bar and get it on there before taking it in for an alignment.
I looked again and the axle is shifted over maybe a half inch so maybe pulling it over will also pull it back (even though it seem like it would do the opposite)...
We'll see.

Thanks for the link.... I saw your write up a few weeks ago and thought that was pretty clever. I'll give it a try.
