Default Lift Height?

those are 31" tires is there any way you can guess the lift on my jeep? Or is there a way to check it? When I bought it the guy said it had a 2" lift but everyone says it looks like 3". In real life it looks like 3 to me but in pictures it looks like 2

Btw my doors are back on now

use a tape measure and get the distance from the bottom of the front pumpkin to the ground.
measure to the top of the roof rack.

with 31 inch tires the pumpkin should be about 9.8 inchs off the ground, so that adds 2.5 inchs to the vehicle height which is then 68.8 stock, so with a 2 inch lift the top of the roof rack will be 70.8 inchs and with a 3 inch lift it would be 71.8 inchs. ALSO you may want to factor in settling and know that a 4 inch lift will not get every vehicle 4 inchs, some will be 4.5 some will be 3.5.

you can also look at how its lifted, if its blocks measure the blocks or if it has coil spacers measure those! if its new coils and springs or add a leaf then ide assume its 3 inchs

I have read on here that if you measure from the center of the wheel to the bottom of the flare I believe is 17.5" could be 17" but that should get you close.

looks like 2 or 3. look on top of the coil springs for a spacer and measure it. being that small, it should either have shackles or blocks in the rear so just measure the add ons.

okay, so from the top of the axle tube(not the spring perches of the coil buckets-the actual tube) to the bottom of the "frame rail" is where you can take your measurements!

the front stock is 7"
the rear stock is 6"

anything more than that is your lift.

Comparing to mine, Currently 2" in the front and 3.5" in the rear with 31". Looks like you are 3" in the front and 2" in the rear, or sagging 3" in the rear. This is the most accurate measuring method I have found, the flare method is more variable: http://www.mike-g.net/jeep/yinyang/tech/rideheight/

Measure from center of wheel to fender flare. Stock specs are front at 17.5" and rear at 17". Anything more is lift.

(If not for the original poster, maybe the next guy searching the threads will find needed info)

Ok so I measured both the axle tube way and the Center of the wheel way, both say I have 3" of lift in the front and a little over 2" in the rear. I need new leaf springs anyways so that probably accounts for the 1" sag. Mayb the guy before me put the ZJ coil springs on it and gave it the extra inch? but the shocks say rough country and it has 2" coil spacers. Im very confused hahaha My best bet is that it has a 1" sag in the back...

PO probably did a AAL in the rar on sagging stock springs. Your gess on the front probably correct. I would get a New set of 3" springs for the rear.

Rough Country or Rustys. Both have good pricing, Rustys charges more for freight. Also could look at Quadratec.
