Default Lift and exhaust opinions?

So I was thinking of 3.5" RE Super-flex...but now I'm having second thoughts and going with a 4.5" RE Super-Flex...It will take a little longer to purchase than the 3.5" as it requires a CV and SYE change out...I'm going the DD route so I wanna keep it relatively low...Also i was considering a magnaflow exhaust system...my buddy has a flowmaster muffler and his sounds like poo...but maybe it was just the custom job done on it...Opinions?

go for the 4.5! and ive got a custom dual magnaflow set up, i like it alot

What brand lift you running? I'm assuming it's RC cuz of the sticker?

well its actaully a rustys 4.5 haha i used to have a rouh country, but a got a fantastic deal on this one so yeah....

with 3.5" theres a good chance of needing an SYE, RE lifts sit a little higher than advertised. i like my flowmaster

yeah good point, i might get a flow master next time iget an exhaust, ive heard some that sound meanon an XJ!

Check out some youtube vids of them...magnaflow sounds better IMO

x2, with a '97 you will probably need the sye and shaft either way. Don't forget the track bar either.

I was going to get the 3.5" with the CV and SYE all at the same time...thought of going to 4.5", but couldn't afford a CV and SYE right away if I did...

Oh yeah on the exhaust note, I got the dyno max, some think its too quiet but its nice inside when cruising. You can still here it outside and tell its not stock.

just like with the SYE, each jeep is unique, maybe, maybe not. I needed one at 3" and the RE lifts are a bit on the higher side. I would just keep that in mind when shopping.
