hey I am going to be putting on rough country 4.5 x seires lift on in about 2 weeks but had a ? for you guys! I have mj shackles in the rear of my xj right now do you think I should put the stock ones back in or leave the mj shackles in? for the record the rc comes with 4.5 full springs! thanks!
its up to you. the MJ shackes give around .75" lift i think? so the back end will just be sitting higher. but the back end will be sitting higher anyway because the new leaf springs will initially be taller and have to get settled in before bringing it down to correct height. i would put in the stock shackles just so the back isnt higher than its already gonna be. down the road if they sag you can always throw the MJ shackle back in to regain lost lift.

Also if you ever decide you want to put a rack or a fullsize spare on the top of your rig you'll be glad u used them so you dont get sag in the rear from the extra weight.
